I find that often times there is beauty to be found in abandonment, whether it be heritage buildings, overgrown cemeteries', old hospitals etc. I believe it lays in the inherent decay or growth that begins to happen when the elements of the natural world are permitted to authentically paint and bring life to a man made structure. It becomes an item of cohesive beauty.
There is no sadness there for me, only an appreciation of what was and now what is.
It is an alluring metamorphosis. -tM
