I am not certain in what context this photograph was taken.
We all know that we bring our own personal experiences and skewed perceptions to everyday life, however it becomes all that more poignant when people interpret art.
Personally, this piece expressly reminded me of the duality of life, specifically protection/suffocation, and how sometimes good intentions in the long run can be harmful. In life there is a delicate balance and we need to be respectful of its ecology and life force in general. Although protection in general is honourable and at times necessary it should not stunt the natural progression of life, otherwise survival itself is threatened. Plant life, human life, nurturing children, taking care of the planet, in any case extremes are dangerous.
Well, there you have it, my skewed perception of a work viewed in my context. What do your senses see?-tM
