Hilma af Klint

Her work was shown 20 years after her death. She felt the world was not ready for her abstract concepts. She began creating radically abstract content in 1906, years after Kandinsky, Malevich, and Mondrian would take similar strides to rid their artwork of representational content.

Up until now her work was largely private. She dreamed that one day her work would be showcased in a spiral room. And here it is now currently displayed at the Guggenheim. Sometimes dreams do come true. -tM
