In the name of autumn and all things changing, stop for a moment, cease your work, and look around you.
Happy Equinox friends. -tM
This is the time of year,
that I turn by back on the year that was. You see, September is the beginning of my new year, and the end of August is when I reflect on the years events and affairs. Yes, there are "plans" for the year ahead and insights will be carried over from the last, but most significantly this new year is about freeing my mind, and in turn my body, with the soul, being at the centre of the entire initiative.
September is always filled with adjustments, there is a palpable shift that comes with the change of seasons, and or routine.
As maudlin as I can be about seeing the summer take a step back I am also as equally inspired by autumns ability to effortlessly let go of what is no longer needed. The seasons are full of lessons, and so is every new year.
Happy New Beginnings. -tM
It's all so incredibly romantic, until winter slaps autumn in the face. -tM
Add the wind and leaves being torn from the branches that once gave them life, invite the ominous sky to lunch and ask the rain to create new mosaics on the side walks, and you will have a day like today. The cold is what shook me. The rest was quite beautiful. -tM
There is something so quietly at ease about the autumn. Inwardly there is a healing that happens amidst its colours and transformations. We move with the seasons as they bring with them a different energy, and opportunity to reassess our lives and/or decisions made.
I think the city becomes a much softer place in the autumn. Its multitude of colours and light are reminders to move with nature, not just through it. It makes us stop and take a moment to notice our surroundings, to recognize that we do belong to something much larger and far-reaching. -tM
